On 29th July, I attended a site meeting regarding the Animal Wall Restoration Project, next to Cardiff Castle. Michael Davies, Director of Davies Sutton Architects, chaired the meeting. His role was to manage the structure of the meeting, take the minutes and allow everyone the right to share their views.
The architect's main role during the construction period is to manage the building contract which involves checking the quality of build and making sure it is up to expectations. Also, it is important for the architect to review the time scales of the project against the proposed programme.
