Josh Morris (Davies Sutton Architects)

At present, I attend The Cathedral School, Llandaff where I am undertaking my GCSE’s. I am studying English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics [Triple Science Award], Geography, History, French, Information Communication Technology, Music and Religious Education. I hope to continue my studies at A Level next year.

My general interests include music, rowing and coaching. I am currently working towards achieving my Grade 5 Music Theory and Grade 7 Piano. I also attend the choir in The Cathedral School and have performed in several concerts, one being in the Wales Millennium Centre.

I row for The Cathedral School Boat Club and have taken part in a numerous amount of rowing regattas as a rower and a Cox. Furthermore, I coach young rowers during after-school activities.

I will be shadowing the architects at Davies Sutton during the Summer Holidays. I will be observing projects, people in the practice, clients, contractors and the processes of design and construction. I will be gathering information through written observations, photography, film-making and illustration.

I am very pleased and excited to be taking part in the Reflecting Wales Project, as I am incredibly interested in architecture, especially after my time spent with Davies Sutton Architects for my work experience week in mid July. I see this project as a fantastic opportunity to gain a further insight into the range of work carried out by an architect.
